Blur, pixelate, or solid box
A solid box hides the most and is safest for high-value details like numbers and IDs. Pixelation keeps the shape while hiding detail, which suits faces. Blur looks the most natural. Because a light blur on tiny, predictable text can sometimes be partly reversed, the strength is adjustable — turn it up, or use a box, for anything truly secret.
Private and metadata-clean
Everything runs on your device, and because the result is exported from a fresh canvas, the original photo’s hidden EXIF and GPS data does not travel with it — so redacting a photo also removes the location and device information that would otherwise be shared along with the image.

Can the redaction be undone by someone else?
No. The hidden areas are flattened into the exported image’s pixels, so the original content is destroyed — unlike a black box drawn in some apps that can simply be peeled off to reveal what was underneath.
Is my image uploaded?
No — loading, redacting, and exporting all happen on your device in the browser, and nothing is sent to a server.
Does it remove metadata too?
