Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The AI runs entirely in your browser, so your image never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored.
Where does the AI model come from?
It is served only from Kitolity’s own servers. The first time you use a quality level, your browser downloads the model once (then it is cached), and you are told the size before it downloads.
What do the quality options mean?
Fast (~5 MB) loads almost instantly and suits clear subjects; Best (~88 MB) downloads a larger, more detailed model once for sharper edges and fine detail like hair. Pick based on your image and connection.
What can I upload, and what do I get back?
Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP, and you get back a transparent PNG cutout you can drop onto any background.
Why isn’t the cutout perfect on some images?
Very fine detail — flyaway hair, glass, or a subject the same color as its background — is hard for any background remover. A higher-quality option or a cleaner photo usually helps.
